Over the past few years several significant changes have been happening to the certification and installation rules for LED sign retrofit kits. In May of 2018, UL announced transformative changes in the way Certified sign retrofit kits are labeled. Meanwhile, new retrofit kit requirements have been introduced in Article 600 of the NEC during both the 2017 and 2020 code cycles.

In addition to reviewing the above mentioned changes, this webinar will explore:

  • The effect these collective changes will have on the supply chain
  • Retrofit kit Certification marks on installation instructions (i.e. elimination of Classification marks on kit components).
  • New NEC sign retrofit kit markings and definitions
  • Impact of recent changes on LED kit component manufacturers, distributers, installers and AHJ community.
