COVID-19 Business Continuity for Compliance Professionals – Remote Auditing and Witnessing of Tests

UL is using remote technology to support the UL Data Acceptance Program (DAP) and IEC Customer Testing Facility (CTF) Program.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, UL has closely monitored the situation and activated plans to help assure the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and communities.

As a provider of essential services, UL remains open for business. We’ve put into place modified working arrangements under guidance from public health officials to continue to deliver critical services. While proactively evaluating our processes to meet the evolving needs of our customers, we identified an opportunity to use remote technology to support the UL Data Acceptance Program (DAP), IEC Customer Testing Facility (CTF) Program and Witnessed Test Data Program (WTDP). These enhanced service offerings allow for greater flexibility for our customers to continue to submit products for certification.

The DAP and CTF program provide a means to accept externally generated test data in support of many of our certifications, including the UL Mark, C-UL Mark, and IECEE CB Scheme.

Register to view this 30-minute on-demand webinar to learn how we have temporarily amended some of the DAP and CTF program requirements to allow the use of remote technology for:

  • Customers interested in the Witnessed Test Data Program (WTDP)
  • Current DAP (customer and third-party data program) participants
  • Current CTF labs

Speaker: Chris Nicastro, engineering manager for the Energy and Power Technologies division and DAP operations manager at UL
